Textly License Information

Free Trial

We want you to evaluate Textly’s text capture, table extraction, and translation features in your everyday environment before committing to a purchase. Textly provides a free 3-day trial on your Mac.

• Web Store Trial: The direct version allows you to test Textly for 3 full days. Testing does not require payment details, does not ask for credit card authorization, and never automatically converts into an unexpected paid charge upon expiration.
• Mac App Store Trial: If you install Textly via the Mac App Store, any trial terms associated with subscription in-app purchases are governed by Apple StoreKit. When opting into an introductory trial through Apple, billing details are handled directly via your Apple Account according to Apple’s stated terms.

Purchased through the Mac App Store

When you obtain Textly through the official Mac App Store:

• Apple Account Association: All purchases and subscriptions are tied directly to your personal Apple Account (Apple ID). MacThru does not issue or track registration codes for App Store installations.
• Available Options: Textly in the Mac App Store offers a 6-month auto-renewable subscription as well as a one-time lifetime in-app purchase.
• Subscription Management & Renewal: Subscription renewals, cancellations, and billing schedules are handled exclusively by Apple. You can review, modify, or cancel your active subscription anytime in your macOS System Settings or App Store account settings. For detailed steps, see Apple's guide on canceling a subscription.
• Restore Purchases: If you set up a new Mac or reinstall macOS, you can restore your active subscription or lifetime in-app purchase using the built-in Restore Purchases button inside the app.
• Device Limit: App Store terms allow you to use your purchase on any Mac computers you own or control that are signed into your authorized Apple Account, under Apple's standard Media Services Terms and Conditions. The Web Store’s 2-Mac activation code limit does not apply to App Store customers.

Purchased through the MacThru Web Store

When you purchase Textly directly through the MacThru Web Store:

• Merchant of Record: Payments are processed securely by Paddle, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record.
• One-Time Lifetime License: Web Store customers purchase a perpetual lifetime license. There are no recurring subscription fees or automated renewals.
• Registration Code Delivery: Immediately upon successful payment, you receive a unique registration code (formatted as TXTLY-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) on the checkout confirmation screen and via email confirmation.
• Two Simultaneous Mac Activations: Each individual license allows you to activate Textly on up to two (2) Macs simultaneously for your personal or professional use.
• Online Server Activation: Initial activation requires an active internet connection so Textly can validate your registration code with the MacThru licensing server.
• Device Transfers & Deactivation: If you upgrade or replace a computer, you can easily release an activation by opening Textly, selecting License management, and clicking Deactivate Device. You can then use your original registration code on your new Mac.
• Software Maintenance: Your lifetime purchase includes all maintenance updates, bug fixes, performance improvements, and compatibility patches released for the licensed major version of Textly. Future separate major version upgrades or standalone add-on features may be offered as optional paid upgrades.
• Platform Compatibility: While your lifetime license does not expire, it does not guarantee perpetual compatibility with future macOS architectures or operating system versions not supported at the time of release.

Registration Code Recovery

If you purchased Textly via the MacThru Web Store and lost your registration code:

1. Search your email inbox for your order confirmation from Paddle or MacThru.
2. Look up your purchase history directly via Paddle Buyer Support (paddle.net) using the email address entered at checkout.
3. Alternatively, contact MacThru Support with your order number or checkout email address, and our team will gladly reissue your registration code.

License Restrictions & Terms of Use

Purchasing Textly grants you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the software. A purchase does not transfer ownership, copyright, or intellectual property rights to the software.

• You may not redistribute, resell, lease, sublicense, or publicly publish your registration code.
• You may not decompile, reverse engineer, or modify Textly’s application binaries.
• Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights under applicable local legislation.
